Scientific suggestion on the cause of the accident

by chemical substances

OSHRI, publication ofthe risk assessment report on fire & explosion

 

21st March,

OSHRI (Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute) has published the risk assessment report concerning safety measures and the cause analysis of the fire & explosion accident at workplace.

 

This report shows safety measures which is according to the physicochemical cause analysis and analysis by test equipment on the explosion by metal dust explosion at the workplace of the automobile parts manufacture, the fire & explosion by animal feed additives, and an accident by epoxy resin.

 

- In addition, this report provides a prevention of the accident by related substances according to comparison and analysis on a flash point, a melting point and the vapor pressure of 184 different carcinogens.

 

This report consists of total 4 books which are the form of a book, which offers the information pertaining to risk assessment from the scientific data, experiment on identifying the causes and clarifying the cause of the accident.

OSHRI has published the risk assessment report since 2006, so that it helps safety officials clarify the cause of the accident and prevent fire & explosion by chemical substances.

 

Director general Jeong-seon, Park from OSHRI said “The risk assessment reports are the data that state-of-the-art equipment and professional researchers systematically and scientifically do an in-depth analysis, therefore, she expects that it will be informative data for accident prevention and the cause analysis of fire & explosion accident."

Meanwhile, OSHRI is certificated as international authorized test institute on 20 contents of the fire & explosion area and physicochemical features of chemical substances from Korea Agency for Technology and Standards, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, therefore, it has secured public confidence.
